Ingredients
- ¾ cup Water
- ⅓ tsp Coarse Kosher Salt By Morton
- 2 tbsp Organic Ground Flax Seed by Wild Oats
- 2 tablespoon Coconut Flour
- 6 tablespoon, shredded Shredded Cheddar
- ½ tablespoon Heavy Cream
- 1 large Raw Egg
- 2 teaspoon Butter
Preparation
- Combine water, salt, flax seeds and coconut flour together in a small saucepan.
- Whisk mixture until it starts to thicken.
- Whisk egg in a small bowl, then add some of the thickened, hot mixture into the egg to temper it. Then place it all back into the saucepan.
- Whisk contents of saucepan until mixture thickens again and egg is cooked about 2 minutes. Take the grits off the heat and stir in the shredded cheese and butter until well combined. Taste and add additional salt as needed.
- Top with heavy cream and serve hot!
